BG Tanzania has announced to offer a scholarship to 13 students of postgraduate science of oil and gas (MSc. In Petroleum Geology) presented at the University of Dar es salaam, Department of Geology for the academic year 2014/2015. This warranty will cover the cost of fees paid, books, money, subsistence and research for 18 months.
On the occasion of this launch, the official guest was the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Mizengo Kayanza Pinda. Other visitors who have been to and reach are Excellencies Ambassadors of various countries, including the head of the community of European countries, lecturers of the University of Dar e salaam, leaders of oil and gas companies and representatives from other government entities.
Participation of BG Tanzania is based on the strategic plan its long-term work with the help of various stakeholders including institutions of higher education in building capacity and add expertise to Tanzanians on advanced degrees in science of oil and gas (MSc. In Petroleum Geology) main objective if it is to create employment opportunities and expertise in sekita of gas and oil. BG also Tanzania, since the year 2012 has been offers scholarship for a high degree colleges outside and inside the country, especially the United Kingdom. 10 Students have been benefited through this program every year.
