Diamond Platnumz is East Africa’s most expensive entertainer at the moment. The Bongo star has beaten all odds to get to where he is and his story is a classic rags to riches tale.
Coming from a humble background, he was just another boy with a big dream. In a recent interview with The Sporah Show, the Mdogo Mdogo hitmaker recalled his difficult times growing up after his father left his mum when he was just 6 years of age.
“My father left my mum when i was just six years old and my mum struggled to raise me and my brother,” he revealed to Sporah adding that his father was one of the Richest men in Tanzania at the time.
In the interview he revealed how his mother sold her gold ring to raise money for Diamond to record his first song. Years later he is becoming one of Africa’s biggest stars.
